Meeting in Pécs/Hungary

Completion requirements

Our third meeting was held in Pécs/Hungary by our partner PeopleFirst.

People First Public Benefit Association - Pécs supports independent living at all levels. It is important for us to promote the ability of people with disabilities to solve their own problems for their own benefit (empowering). The origin of all our activities is accessibility, both physically and in the mind. Our most important activity is the creation and maintenance of the Accessible Pécs Database, unique in Hungary. It is essential for us to promote social inclusion through various awareness-raising activities. Our target group is primarily people with disabilities, but we support a very broad target group in accessibility and accessible tourism: the elderly, young children, the temporarily disabled, even people with wheelchair bags. Our membership consists of people with disabilities, their carers and professionals. What makes us special and what makes us strong is that we don't just focus on one kind of disability. In our association, members with all kinds of disabilities share their experiences, so we learn from and about each other. This diverse teamwork allows us to see what we do from all perspectives.
